Erm, what? I assume this is all filed under the "giggles" department?Speaking of what M mentioned, the place was quiet the past few days and that was because it was not only a busy school week, but I wanted to redecorate the club giving it a fresher appeal.
You’ll notice three slight changes: the wall of colorful picks in the restaurant, a new exhibit in our bass museum: Flatwounds from Around the World, and finally, a virtual reality room where you get to choose the band, type of bass/amp, plus wardrobe and play “live” in concert with you as the bassist. I was JPJ playing with the mighty Zep in a London club, circa 1970. It was mildly entertaining...

Sure is! It's nice to finally be able to keep up with our guitarist's Hot Rod Deluxe IV. The guys really like to turn it up loud, even just for basement practice sessions.Looks like a rig that means business
Only issue is the Aux In is pushed in and you can hear it rattling around when you swing the amp a bit.Anyone know how tough it’d be to fix, or how much it’d cost to have it fixed? In Seattle.

Now I'm totally speaking out my arse here, as I don't know what it's like to get into this thing. Would you be able to just open er up and retrieve the jack?
If it were my amp I'd be trying my darndest to not have to bring it to someone. If you can open it with a fair amount of ease then it wouldn't be too hard to see what the next step should be (if the jack is broken or just needs to be re-mounted)

Again, I say, check into your warranty situation, as I described to you in the Rumble Club., before opening the amp and voiding any possible warranty, and before contacting your nearest Fender Authorized Service Center.

The fella that sent me the VX50BA never deposited my money transfer. I'm not sure if it was because he was unable to deposit the money or he simply did not want it. He was definitely a nice guy and generous either way. So this beauty has fit in well with my rig and only cost me $36.50 USD.
Woo hoo, Doc! What a bargain!! But, please, exactly how does it fit in with your rig? Do you use its dry DI? Looking forward to your review of it. Do you get nice smooth tones at high volume, or does the speaker still need breaking in, maybe?
I considered taking my ultralight li'l Foxy Voxy to the Bluegrass jam yesterday, just out of sheer laziness. But, the acoustic and Acoustasonic presets on my Rumble Studio kept calling my name.

Unfortunately I wasn't planning on offering a full review. i don't really have time to explore VX50BA on its own. Nonetheless it has been thoroughly integrated into my rig. I run into it directly and then line out to my Vox Pathfinder/Vox MV50CL which is using the Traynor 1510 cab. Basically I am bi-amping the using the VX50BA to carry the highs and the other amps the lows. I also use the drive on the VX50BA to get some dirt in my tone for some songs. I've wanted to have a bi-amp set up for awhile, so I'm really happy. Plus the tone is killer!
My new (to me) GK MB212-ii got a work-out Saturday night with my son's band. The bass player is a kid who loves his mids and does some fancy footwork with a pedal-board full of effects. He set it up pre-gig as I told him: EQ-flat, contour off, horn on. Dial in what you like for a sound with the eq and get your volume all set. Then, when they started playing, I told him to roll up the boost a bit. His eyes got very big and worries about keeping up with half-stacks melted away. Then I carried the amp AND his bass out together at the end of the night. I call that a "win" for the GK!
Gee, I'm gone for what amounted to be a minute or two and the place goes nuts! Just finished playing some blues on the PJB. She's starting to work in a little, though I'm waiting longer for the LaBellas to settle down than I thought I did on the Rogue bass. either way, it still sounds good. Okay, let's get to stuff...
RR, it's winter in Iowa and I have to go to work tomorrow. A man's gotta do what he's gotta do to stay sane, I tell ya! Personally I like to think of it as...alternative facts.
On another note, do you remember me talking about this Soundtrap website for recording a few weeks ago? I was messing around with it today and tonight, and for a novice like me, it's got some pretty sweet sounds. Of course, I have to figure out the placing of the instruments to create a nice riff, but I'll figure it out. Alone with my bass and an acoustic guitar picking in whatever you key you want, I found it fun to play along. So I think that's what I'm going to use when recording the PJB. It's still gonna come from a mic, but I think it'll be listenable.
Have you looked at it yet? I'm using the freeware and even if it's all I use it'll be enough to jam with. Give it a try when you're bored and let me know what you think.

Nice setup, GP. Very intimate. I can't see the Rumble though. Is it off to your left or behind you? If I was there I'd have dropped some serious coins in the jar for ya. Bottom line, you guys look like you're having fun!
Slingy, that amp looks brand-spankin' new and ready to rock. Because of your wisdom to buy such an awesome combo, I hereby grant you membership number 182. Congratulations and don't forget to add it to your sig. Also, if you find it harder to hear the highs, pick up a wedge or use something you have lying around the house to increase the front's angle. I use an On Stage wedge and I love it. Take a look:

Balog, if all that's wrong with your 100 is the Aux In, then you truly are the dealmaker in this club. I'm assuming it's out of warranty unless the previous owner is going to take it in for ya, so I might either take the amp out for a quick look (unless this is uncharted territory for ya) or have it looked at by someone who promises not to take all your savings from the purchase. It may just need to be reattached, but you won't know until you or someone techie takes a look.
For your unheralded genius in making such a sweet deal, I am happily awarding you member #183. Wear it with pride and for as long as you love your combo. Congratulations! Keep us posted about what you find out.
