All those names were years away from debuting on the radio when I lived in a Chicago suburb in the sixties and listened to WLS and later, WCFL. Lessee, the Silver Dollar Survey, Clark Weber in the morning, Ron Riley either drivetime or evening shift and (before he was fired yet again) Dick Biondi, ”The Wild I-tralian!” Somewhere in the seventies rock radio went through big changes and WLS switched to a talk format. A college classmate of mine was the station manager and arranged to donate the record library to our alma mater.
Cool info. John ‘Records’ Landecker, Larry Lujack, Bob Sirott, and my fave, Fred Winston, got me to listen and I’ve never stopped.
