Over three grand, though there is a lefty of it. swink, play the game by the rules, okay? I'm currently watching a two-bill Ibanez and a crazy-looking Longhorn (people love it though). Is it worth it if I have to sell bhendrix's brand new Studio 40 and beautiful Mustang bass? I think not, but that's what you'll force me to do if you keep binging forth these ultra-expensive basses. True, I'm rich and powerful, but I'm frugal too!

Rob, can you be in? Yes, you can be in, and in fact, you are the 202nd member of this prestigious club! We are more than happy to bring you into where all the cool combo cats preside. That's a very nice rig you have there. I'm gonna assume you like the heavier metals of music, and I'm wondering how you like your Markbass for it. So I do primarily like metal and I can get a pretty sick metal tone on this with my darkglass pedals and schecter bass. Like cuts right through a mix. Had a practice first day haha. The amp has a lot sounds you can get. I also own a fender jazz and a squire fretless jazz so when I’m not playing metal and I’m doing say funk, or going for that Jaco sound On the back pickup I can do that too. I’m just kinda scratching the surface with this thing but it’s powerful, light, and so far I’m able to get a lot of different good sounds out of it.

Okay, I probably should've included the monetary ceiling. Probably south of 13 Grand, and maybe a little closer to five to a thousand. And GP, you know I only buy "excellent, mint, or brand new" pieces of gear. That second model was only "very good." Both absolutely beautiful models though, but hardly worthy of your Fearless Leader.

I just read the listing on the Rare 1969 Gibson EB-0 Short Scale Left Handed "Lefty" Bass. It does come with a 1960's Gibson Hardshell Case and a tube of K-Y Jelly. Based on the price, I think the buyer would need both items.

And it is a beauty! Let’s all guess how much it weighs. I’ll start with 150 lbs...110 of it the tuners. Did I win?

While you have my deep respect as club mates, I think you are finding out it’s not easy to buy a southpaw bass. But again, half the fun is looking.

I’m really tempted though to grab that Mikro bass, also some LaBellas on it, and tweak the setup until I have it playing to taste.

Neither Gibby nor and Epi have done lefties many favors. Shame too as they’ve designed some of the coolest-looking guitars of all time.

PT, just reading your post made my stomach queasy. I know my frustration is wearing everyone out, but why couldn’t someone build a reasonably-priced short scale bass with looks and character to match? Yeah, I know, when fairies wear boots...

Hey Recon, thanks for joining in the impossible mission. My kid’s first bass was an Omen 4, I believe, and he currently owns some satanic five-string Schecter model. He loves their basses. After looking, it seems they do have one short scale, but not as a lefty. I must admit though, it’s quite an impressive lineup for us cool dudes who wear their bass backwards! Thanks again.

Add to the fact that #2 requested a solid color on the next bass being she says my basses all look the same, so black may be a nice change of pace.

I can guarantee you would not be disappointed. I've also bought a few things from that shop. He seems great, and a regular seller of Hofner in the US. So if you had any issues or wanted to mod the bass in the future he would have your back I bet.
