Yeah, it’s a classy violin bass. If I go for the Contemporary I’m gonna have to wait a little longer before doing the deed, and I agree with you, for the difference I think it’s worth it. And like you’ve said before, Doc, if this bass is closer in tone to my Jazz it’ll be the perfect compliment to my Rogue.
Great, now I need to clean Coke spray off my laptop...I just read the listing on the Rare 1969 Gibson EB-0 Short Scale Left Handed "Lefty" Bass. It does come with a 1960's Gibson Hardshell Case and a tube of K-Y Jelly. Based on the price, I think the buyer would need both items.

yea thing plays so easy. I was unsure about both schecter and 5 strings but after trying this one I will have confidence in the possibility of going after the higher end of their catalog in the future when funds allow. Thanks!

I started out by being invited to apply for a position on an ethics board for a local company. The friend who got my foot in the door was my college roomie and a philosophy chair at our local university. I have served on the board since 2014.
Recently, the company I do engineering work for formed an Integrity team and the GM asked if I would be interested in joining. I said yea, and have been working diligently for about a year to nudge the company ethics in a direction our little team agrees with. It has been a real learning experience of trying to manage several different expectations and make ethical improvements while a pandemic hampers our industry.
So my area is more applied ethics than philosophical ethics. But my friend and I sometimes talk philosophy, and I enjoy the thought exercises he presents me.
I know, my banter on TB is strictly sophomoric, but I can be a real grown-up when I try.

I'm employed today primarily due to may ability to teach applied ethics. I've taught a variety of such courses and I am on the advisory committee for our health-care region. So I help health-care professionals with their decisions via a multi-disciplinary committee headed by a professional ethicist. It's nice to contribute in that way. Great on you for doing it too!

The Mikro is a curious one I must admit. Slap a set of flats on it and see what she does. The L’horn, while interesting and has a strong following, just isn’t me. Where would ya find a gig bag for that thing?

I retired and still doing the same thing, only different. Used to be they'd drop me in to a crisis for a day/week/month/Kansas so often crisis looked perfectly normal to me. With that 8 day hour behind me, the new norm means I don't have to leave my desk for a crisis. Just a different kind now. Much more satisfying work though.
