The Combo Club

No, the fact that the head is physically connected to the cab makes it a combo.
So the physical connection by Speakon cable is enough to claim its Comboness? :smug:

Each plane of the hexahedron from which my comboreality has been raised can carry the weight of the combo body without putting an extra weight on the amp or other bodypart and without compromising its rigidity.

Not quite. It’s the bracket that physically connects the two.

Oh, cool! I didn't notice that before. It's not as vintage as my Bassman connecting hardware, but it does appear to be a bolted connection. This Fender hardware is available separately for application to other head/cab rigs.

But, both are still not Ampeg fliptops! :)

I think the system was introduced on the Genz-Benz amps originally. And while it’s not an Ampeg flip-top, it still fulfils the requirement of the head being connected to the cab, IMHO.

I don’t actually think it’s a real combo either. But it’s advertised that way. Haha
It only weights 30 pounds roughly and that’s super nice. Sounds huge though. Very amazing for its size.
I think it sounds like a great way to turn string thumps into sound loud enough to be heard from the far end of the room! It looks like a very quality bit of kit, and certainly happy you are enjoying it!
