We are doing well here. At 6200’ elevation, we are in the low 40’s at night, clear sunny 75-80 days. Should be below freezing at night next week. I will be sure to pick that mandarin behind me before it freezes! I did a short ride today on my BMW, great day! Bars are closed here but Open Mic just restarted! May try to sit in on bass, mostly geezer folk gringos left...(me included on the geezer....Butler?). After inoculation, we hope to head state side in the Spring to get us an Airstream to visit grand kids and friends. Take the base I built or the acoustic Michael Kelly? May need one of those mini 5” bass combos!

Sounds wonderful. Enjoy every minute of your days. As for your 5" bass combo idea, definitely look into it. Depending on if it'll be used for those open mic nights, you could easily get away with one of the many micros out there that'll treat ya right. Pick up a PJB BG-75 and a computer battery, and rule your Airstream world, and that wouldn't be a bad gig at all!

Promise us before you put hard-earned cash down on the Fly rig you audition the PJB. I realize the price difference is night and day, but so's the bass output. That, plus you can't get the Fly 3 in red!

I used to really want one of these-back when I was still driving 18 wheelers(and shortly after I hung it up). Not now. There are only 2 places I have any desire to go outside of FL: Elyria, OH-the Kasino extension-and Orbisonia/Rockhill Furnace*(one town with 2 names), PA. I wouldn't need-or actually have any interest in-driving something that big ever again. My little ol' gigmobile is plenty for either journey.
Hmm. Now that I think about it, could be an all-in-one trip.

No. It's the home of an operating narrow gauge steam railroad. Only one east of the Mississippi River. Also a trolley museum. Been there, wanna go back.

Never used a pedal tuner. I use a buncha D'Addario ns micros-one on each of 4 basses[that way I never forget-they stay on]. Last I checked, 2/$25 at SW.

I share your desire for vaccine and visiting kids and grand kids. We bought a motor home just before this COVID crap. It's been sitting in the driveway ever since. Once we are vaccinated, I will load my bass and Studio 40 and head to Canada, eh!

The TC Electronic Cliptune is supposed to be one of the best for the money but they're currently sold out worldwide except for a few on Reverb.

I second the vote for the TC Electronics PolyTune Clip, that I think Protag meant. It costs more than the cheapies, but it has outlasted all the cheapies I've tried. It also works great on 6-string and bass, if you need both. The pedal PolyTune seems to have a good reputation, too.

Exactly the headstock tuner I use. Picked mine up a couple years ago from Sweetwater after reading so many TB reviews. The foxy Voxy pedal tuner is a beast in bass-specific strobe mode.

Already some fine suggestions. What’s your price range, C7? The portable Petersen looks to be as good as any of their full-size models. I’ve always had good luck with Snark tuners. Even my tiny Fender headstock tuner works pretty well, though it sometimes spins round and round like a roulette wheel.

Thanks for all the quick/good replies. I just want a good, fast, and accurate it one. Thinking about dumping the pedal board again. Ugh
And you know me, price doesn’t really matter.
