How is the 801 pushing the double bass frequencies? Not too thin ?? I have an old Framus EUB, and the CMD121 is perfect for this.
No, I don't run them together. Many of my gigs are drummerless and the 801 does wonders on it's own. I ordered a NY 121 for the CMD to bump it up if I ever need more from that amp.
No the 801 just adds presence to the string bass. I play gigs that don't require the volume that the CMD provides. The CMD is the perfect upright amp in my opinion.

First I've seen one (which doesn't mean anything). Has its own casters ... these smaller drivers look like they're spreading
And if you get that NY ext cab you can use your 801 combo through it as well and have even more presence with your DB. Lots of options make those pieces worth owning.

Good question, shoot-r. I myself have been curious to what that unique combo sounds like. Yeah, the drivers are small, but there a lot of them! If anyone has any info on them, please chime in.
And may you enjoy your Rumblers for years to come. I have the 100 and it's a great all-around combo. With its XLR DI out you can play gigs that need a little more power, but small to medium acoustic gigs are right up its ally. The 500 will take you the rest of the way there, and if you need still more power, snag a Rumble 115 cab and enjoy the full 500 watts. Give your impressions of either or both combos when the 100 comes in.
I've not been a huge combo fan in the past, but this one has "really" got my attention.
500 watts spread into it's 4-8's, (so 125 watts per driver should equal very low distortion at high volume.) No extension cab needed.
Four 8" drivers would give slightly more cone surface area than Hartke's 15.
I'm thinking this might be a great near-field monitor for live stage use along with FOH support.
Just wish I could find one to audition!

Are there actual Hartke dealers in the brick ‘n mortars, and more importantly, do they have the current line in stock? Otherwise, you could roll the dice and buy one, audition it at home for a month, and return it for an exchange. At that price point there are zillions of quality combos you could choose from.

You’ve been hanging around G’Dog too much (or not enough). I say whatever it takes to get that extension cabinet to Florida, that we do it. Either that, Swink, or we find one in GP’s backyard. Not literally, but figuratively. Keep your peepers peeled

If the Combo Clubhouse, with it's full body sanitizing stations and holodeck virtual presence facilities, is not a sufficiently exotic and welcoming venue, then I have no other venue recommendation. But I humbly suggest the name of Bass Amp ComboNation for consideration by "the committee". BTW, do I understand correctly that this "committee" is not the same Tribunal of Conflcts recently named?

Oops. I forgot to say that I've owned both of these combos before. Both sound really nice and loud. I sold both of them to go with amp/cab setups. I've missed both of them dearly. If they gave the 100 a horn it would be the perfect combo IMO.
