Already some fine suggestions. What’s your price range, C7? The portable Petersen looks to be as good as any of their full-size models. I’ve always had good luck with Snark tuners. Even my tiny Fender headstock tuner works pretty well, though it sometimes spins round and round like a roulette wheel.

My Snark is good (and cheap).

Promise us before you put hard-earned cash down on the Fly rig you audition the PJB. I realize the price difference is night and day, but so's the bass output. That, plus you can't get the Fly 3 in red!

I promise....That red has always grabbed my attention.

I’ve been using the red Snark for bass since it came out. For the price it’s a total outperformer. I have a strobe pedal that’s fantastic but it and the Ampeg SCR-DI are my only pedals and they rarely leave the house; there’s no need.

Ok group, I’m thinking of getting a clip on tuner. What’s the best in your option? I usually use a pedal tuner. Can a clip on be as good???

Korg AT-LT100B is stable enough to work when next to a loud drummer. Their OTG Poly can show out-of-tune strings when all 4 are played - not that I have ever wanted one that could do that.

It's been awhile since I posted on the Combo Club, but I bought a new Rumble 500c awhile back and I love it. I also bought an amp stand to put it on during rehearsals and gigs. I went with amp/cab setups for awhile, but really missed the portability of combos. So I sold off my amps and cabs and bought the 500c.

I also have a Rumble 100c ordered as well. I really love the rumble line of bass combos.

I've used snark tuners for years and never had a problem even with down tuning. I use the red snark, but I just bought the black one. I used the boss pedal tuner as well as the boss clip on tuner and hated it both of them. Snark is the way to go for me.
