After 30 years of drooling, I come across my dream combo. It is no longer being made. This is a demo model that hasn't seen much travel yet.
I'm wavering on whether or not I would eventually pull the trigger.
- Do I need it?
->No,I'm still happy with my B2 and my Basic 350 and they still meet my requirements.
- Can I afford it?
-> There will still be a big apple left for the thirst.
- Do I have room for it?
-> Most definitely.
- Will my wife understand?
-> She has been dreaming of a grand piano for years and has been able to afford it for years, but still hasn't pushed her way through... I've made plenty of attempts to get her to buy one, but she remains reluctant.
- Do I want it?
-> Yes.
=> Should dreams remain dreams, lest they become disappointments, or ....

Is there any way to know what the impedance is on a combo's speaker? I am shopping amps and I am noticing that everyone lists their wattage at 4 ohms even though many cabs (especially lower cost ones) have 8 ohms. Do makers usually go with higher impedance speakers in combos or what?
For example, my Ampeg BA115 claims it's pushing 100 watts but is it actually an 8 ohm speaker so its more like 75 watts?

The closest I ever came to K2 was climbing a couple of Fritz Wiesner's routes. So. Not very close at all. And even in the fitness of youth slow to acclimatize above 5000 meters ... But can very much see myself on an extended holiday in Skardu
Let's sell all our bass gear and go! Have the same condition with heights. Did a tour of Dhaulagiri as well, and got altitude sickness at about 4500 meters, two days lost, but have the best visual memories of those times. Did you get to see Nanga Parbat?
