The Combo Club

I’m with you. I prefer to stick to land critters. Never understood the fuss people make over shrimp.

Once, at a company Christmas dinner party, Over the course of three hours, I ate almost nothing besides boiled shrimp (2 pounds or more) until I was full. Then I was shown the dessert room (a whole room!!!!), where I was introduced to the original (and unmatched, IME) Death by Chocolate. I ate at least half a pie's worth over the next hour. One of the best meals of my life.

BTW, do those of you like shrimp know what "deveining" is?

Yep. The bigger the animal, the bigger the deal (mess). Just basic food prep.
.
I was gonna say, they do that with cows too but it requires some specialized equipment. There's nothing icky about seafood to me, I just don't prefer it.

That said, One of the best meals I ever had was in a seafood restaurant called Captain Nemo's in Naples FL. The biggest sleeper restaurant ever. The name gives it a sort of Long John Silver's vibe to we were skeptical, then we pulled up to a strip mall. But you get inside and it is clear from the beginning it is an excellent restaurant. If I could get shrimp like that on the regular I could see the attraction. Those were almost lobster size, grilled whole and had a sort of sweetness to them.
