Speaking of(sorta): Gig Friday night at local American Legion. Crowd loves us. We play the songs they know and wanna hear-60s/70s rock, some crossover country, whatever. Coupla requests(which we happen to know). We never work off a set list. We 'feel' the crowd and play what's appropriate. They want us back. Unfortunately, the place is booked for awhile. We're back there 12/17-by which time we'll be forgotten. We should be on a 3 week rotation.
Talking about great fries?

I like fried clams. One of the few seafood-y things I'll eat, along with fish&chips.Good evening all! GP, you should be on an every-week rotation. That way, if you're a long-term band you'll make more clam$ and have to tear down less. Notice how I didn't say shrimp?

I've been to that rotating restaurant in New Orleans years ago; some friends living in Tuscaloosa back then. Loved the New Orleans French quarters !!If the rotating restaurant in the Space Needle is open I highly recommend it for both the food and the scenery!

I was lucky enough to have lunch there on family “odyssey” trip there as a (very) young man in 1970. I remember the views of the busy working harbor, and finding my sugar packet carefully placed on the (stationary) windowsill 47 minutes or so later![]()
It’s a trendy, $$$$, wine bar/bistro now. So, no didn’t have a bite there!![]()

A colleague tells of a moment of abject fear as a 7k dinner bill is presented at this restaurant. Someone will need to expense report this dinnerand she sincerely doesn't want to be the one explaining herself to the finance department. The client volunteers to pay

Two of my favorite seafoods.I like fried clams. One of the few seafood-y things I'll eat, along with fish&chips.
When my wife's class in a 2 year radiologic technologist program graduated, they went out to a fancy restaurant in Atlanta. Everyone was told they were responsible for their own drinks but the meal would paid for from what remained in the class's social account. But quite a few people, after several drinks, simply left. The class treasurer - one of our best friends - was presented the bill, which was substantially more than was in the account. She was nearly in tears. A vendor rep in attendance insisted on paying the difference, saving the day.
