LOVE Beato's interviews. He asks intelligent questions and lets the interviewee completely answer the question without [much] interruption. Plus the caliber of people, on both sides of the glass, is amazing. He has given himself enough cred and behaves in a manner the top pros are willing to share info with him. And GREAT stories!
I miss his old straight ahead whiteboard theory discussions, but over the years he has basically covered all essential topics, so what more can he do on that score - unless someone would truly be interested in learning voicing for 4 part choral or large ensemble units.
I don't mind his "What Makes This Song Great" clips - they are fun to watch, however after decades of breaking down songs to learn in cover bands - as well as always been able to hear all the parts as an avid listener - it's a skill I developed long, long ago. Don't need someone to do it for me. Still fun to learn any entertaining history or unknown facts.
I do not like his live stream breaking down songs. It's not effecient nor effective. Especially with the interrupting shout outs to buddies.
I appreciate his knowledge and his enthusiasm, but have grown tired of hearing his personal history over and over again. And if he mentions "Billionaire" one more time..... well I don't know what I'm a*gonna do. He is worth watching.
