In november i ordered(internetshop) an Artisan A5 OPN but i got an older model(2007) with full maple bodywings. I wanted a new A5 OPN with the mahogany body and figured maple top(new wood configuration 2008) I'm going to sell this one and gonna buy me an Artisan A5 Custom-Z. The bass is only 1 month old and i payed about 700(975 USD) euros for it. I wil sell it for 475 euros(660 USD). If interested just PM me.

here are some pics....

A GB with a Precision pickup ?
Tell us more !

I'll tell you everything, I was somewhat unhappy with the Jazz neck pickup, and have three other J/MM's, so, I checked my spare parts drawer and lo! A P pickup!:hyper:

Had a conversation with a TBer via pm, who's opinion in regards to Precisions I respect highly, and made a plan.
Got some wood, and cut up a new pickguard, its reverse P to get the bass coil in correct P position, while still being completly covered by the pickguard. Dug out the rout with a dremmel and a drill. Very little work here the stock rout is almost big enough.

10mins with a soldering iron, and I have what you see there.:)

Great job, Darkstrike !
Sure it sounds good and loud !

By the way, I believe there's a lack in Cort basses range : the ActionBass and the PJ are the only ones to feature a P pickup, but atthe top of the range, all basses are equipped with soapbars or J+MM configs !
I have a dream ... a A4 P/J black bass

You can bet it does! Though I might replace the pickups and pre for all Duncan later in the year, I see no need for now.

That woud be awesome!

They do need more P in their collection!

At the moment I own the Cort Artisan A4 (newer one with mahogany body), but I have also owned the Curbow (fastest bass I have ever played except a Fodera Monarch which was especially set up for speed playing.

I have also owned 2 of the Cort entry level basses, which were MUCH better than other entry level basses at the same price.

I recently had a problem with a slightly twisted neck on an A4 but the Cort people replaced it very quickly, with an exceptionally lovely A4.

Hi all,

I've been playing bass for about 2 months (10 years on a guitar before that....). I borrowed a friends Jasmine Acoustic bass and just couldn't stop playing it!! I think I'm pretty much converted now and finally understand why bassists love their instruments so much.

Anyway....I suppose this is the Cort Club thread so I'd best post pics of my "new" bass. It's an '05 B4FL (Fretless)...it's got such a awesome sound. I was looking for a fretted bass but this guy came up at a price I couldn't refuse (R1500, that's USD150)....the stoner I brought it from figured he could never play it properly. It still had the original roundwounds on, but he hardly played it so there's only minor marking on the fretboard. I took em off and put some flatwounds on and boy oh does this bass sound sweet. It was in need of a bit of a service (I fixed the rattly tuner heads and loose knob) and a good clean but it it cleaned up really well. Can anyone send me a diagramme of what each knob actually does? I kinda think I have it figured out but I just want to be sure.
