D'Addario flatwounds (XL Chromes ECB81) on my ActionBass : they sound warm and mellow (as said on the packaging !), and so pleasant for fingers !

D'Addario halfrounds ( ENR72) on my C4H : a little less bright, a little more mellow than roundwounds, and more finger-friendly !

Here are the brand new CORTs!

The new T-Series are a bit similar to ESP/LTD basses, talking about general looking, finishes, pickups configurations, and maybe prices.
T34 and T35 are available in black, geomatric copper black, or white, with a black or white binding on their agathis body. They have a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, two MightyMite soapbars and an active 2-bands EQ.

At the top of the range, T74 and T75 offer a mahogany body with quilted maple top, perloid black binding, a three-pieces maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, two EMG/HZ soapbars and a 3-bands EMG-B30 EQ.
Notice the asymmetric body !

Hi all,

I'm new to the board and not quite got to grips with where everything is yet. I've been playing a Tanglewood Baron 4-string bass for the past 13 years, it's an absolute beauty but recently I've got to thinking it's time for a new bass. Of all the bases I've seen, the Cort's have really caught my eye and I recently had a little jam on a Cort Artisan C4H, it's not the most expensive bass in the world, but it seems to be well made and has active pickups and it certainly plays well.

What I'm wondering is this;

Does anyone here own one, or know if it's a good bass? I want something that's going to last me like my Tanglewood, but that's just a bit more geared up towards playing the Grunge/Rock that I'm playing at the moment.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I have one, and love it, with rounds has a nice grind/agressive sound, flats'll smothen it up lovley, but with a low growl.

I own one too, and I love it too :)
I believe it is a very good bass. It provides a loud heavy sound, agressive and grind with roundwounds, as said by Darkstrike, so it's great for rock/grunge/nu_metal/funk_metal. I use it with halfrounds, the sound is always heavy, but thicker and mellower, great for 70's heavy metal or heavy blues (we play this kind of music with my band).
The medium boost really changes the sound, adding some brightness but without loosing the lows; good for slap !
And if the battery doesn't work, the bass can be turned in passive.

Hey, Dams!
Do you have any idea where can i buy them?
I'm really into the T74, googled for it, but all i could get was this online store from the checz's, which, when set to english said Dont buy.

They're also available in an hungarian and a swedish online stores, but that's all for the moment.
Every year it's a the same thing : the new Corts are available in CZ, HU, SE, before the rest of the world ! But Slovenia often comes just after :)
You can also send an e-mail at Thomann.de to tell them you want this bass : maybe thy would be kind enough to include it right now in their catalog.
