got this used bass from ebay, and the seller knows nothing about it...

Apart from it looks similar to SB10 (but obviously not SB10), I couldn't find anything about it whatsoever on the internet.

If any one can tell me what model and specs [wood, pups etc.] it is, that would be greatly appreciated.

@IngerAlb tnx man!
can anybody help me with optimal price for my A6 and year when it was manufactured?
I see that today's A6 are made with ''normal'' bridge :)
so any hints?
I do have to think about that,if in some future I find something better?
What is the serial# of the A6?

Q. What is the Cort Guitars serial number dating system?

A. This is a common question we see quite regularly on the forums. Cort model serial numbers are usually found on the headstock of the guitar and can often be used to identify the date of manufacture. The most common current dating system has been in place since around 2000 and is YYMMXXXX. Thus, a serial number reading 02046572 means the guitar most likely manufactured in April 2002. In early 2005 Cort serial numbers gained an extra identification digit, and so some models manufactured after this date are in the style of YYMMXXXXX. The older known dating system was implemented in the early 90’s, and is YMMXXXX. If you had a serial number 7064381, then the guitar should have been made in June 1997. Please not that there are variation of this rule and the above will not hold true for all guitars.

Hmm, so many pages and not a single evl Z6? Has anyone tried one of those beasts?
I've looked at it, and other than the inlay and headstock, the only differences from the Z4 are that its set neck, and active Pickups, rather than just the eq being active. I wouldn't mind a swing at one, as I love the Z4.
They replaced the defective instrumrnt with a completely new A4.

Took a while but a great result.

Yup, I gussed they would, they do have good customer service, just takes time, but you'll find it a wait with most companies.

To me the differences seemed vast. The ebony board, the set neck construction, the tone from the EMG's, the Z6 felt far superior to the Z4! Pretty fast necks on them as well. They're in my list, trying to decide between some basses, that's why I asked if anyone has any more experience than me on that bass.

It really looks like an active SB10. Why do you say it is obviously not one ?
See an active SB10 here :

It also can be a SB70 like this one :

Some of them had the same headstock than SB10 series.
If it is, it has a three-pieces maple body, a one-piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, and a MightyMite Alnico pickup.

But in any case, the dots position on the fingerboard is obviously not the same !

Oh I think when I search for SB10, I was always shown with passive SB10 (eg. Pg.26 of this thread).

I never realised there's a active SB10. Although some source indicate my bass could be SB70 instead of SB10.

Anyway I'm glad to know that at least it is a Cort S series bass.:)

That's the spec for SB70 ? or Active SB10?

@ 4$$
Tnx man!
so,my serial is 0061370,that would mean that bass is manufactured in June of 2000?
The bas is still in great shape, and I bought it here in Europe for 400eur (used of course),do you think that is fair price?
And what would be class level of this bass? (like, amateur, semi pro, pro? and similar)
This pictures I've posted are about seven days old after I bought instrument (that would be February of this 2008.).
I'm really happy with it,but I didn't tried other 6strings here in Serbia,except my friends JM2.
I'm not thinking of changing it soon and I would be happy to join your Cort club!
err,can I get number :)

I owned a Cort Curbow for a year. It was the fastest bass I have ever played (including a Fodera Monarch, which was extremely!!! fast). I had it set up with a super-low action and with the lightest strings you can get. It played effortlessly fast, no buzzes.

The tone is very modern, you can't make it sound like an old Fender. Great bass, even if it's made of Luthite.
