The Easter 100

I'd love an alembic or fodera 5 string. but new ones are out of that price range.

so, being the oddball that i am, i'd probably order a custom Tune bass. something like this, but with some upgrades:

If 19 other people want to pool their $5,000, I would be down to get the $100,000 Ritter. We could take turns staring at it.

Im kidding, I would get a Markbass amp set-up and a couple of Fenders.

Do we win tonight???

Oh, I have this all figured out:

Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling:

Single humbucker with piezo
Pacific Blue Burst
Maple fretboard
Non-matching headstock
White pearloid pickguard

EDIT: I'd have enough cash to buy two Music Mans... so I'd also get a Bongo six string, or a fiver if they're not out yet.

Ok, we need to define the rules of the game.

I sorta thought the deal was: one bass and one bass only, value up to 5K. Is the deal that, or is it 5K in value to spend any way?

Cuz ...

If it was 5K value and not one bass, I'd certainly buy multiple less expensive basses rather than one mondo bass. :)
Being the cheapie I am. Also, I'd apply some of the budget to the best wireless on the planet, since I'm always going through the mental loop of:
- I really want a wireless
- I can't afford a great wireless, what's decent and inexpensive?
- Aw forget about it, the low end ones are sure to blow chunks and irritate me.

:p

That's a good point. I hadn't thought of that. Well if that's the case, I'll still take the Stambaugh, and I'll scrounge enough money to make the trip to shake CT's hand.

My dream bass is a Stambaugh six string. But that's only a couple of grand. Then again, I don't have an amp right now, so maybe a nice 800-1000 dollar rig? Use the rest to fly to wherever CT is located, shake the man's hand and thank him in person. I mean really, that's just the polite thing to do.

I was actually thinking that there would be enough to actually get everyone together at one time in one location and celebrate...I expect a large winner.... I was waiting to get the 100 so I could start plotting a central point for us to get together.....Some of you may think Im crazy but you have to see it and believe it before it happens......and Im already starting to figure out the best location with the info I have,,,,remember ..think positive !!!!:hyper:

I thought it all had to go on a bass... that changes things! Since I don't have a real AMP to speak of, I'd probably get a full Epifani rig to go with my current Roscoe... a 502 and either a pair of UL 112s or a 210+112. Or would I get the 410, and a 112 to go?

Either way, throw in an SX to practice on at work, and the rest goes to charity.
