The Easter 100

Hmmm... this is a tough one. I'm actually kinda *gasp* GAS-less for basses right now. My GAS has been diverted elsewhere (recording equipment) more recently. Not that I'm sure I couldn't come up with something....

hmmm...

OK... one of those Mark Bass combos and maybe another Stambaugh ... the rest goes to charity. Though it seems like Mr. Stambaugh will be quite busy, so I might have to go with something else. Ah well... I'll figure something out. :D

Still thinking positive!

Honestly I can't even imagine owning a 5000$ bass and with all the marvelous builders out there I can't imagine who I'd pick... I think I'd likely be sending the money to Dave Seigel at NYBW for a nice vintage sounding 6 or to Cliff Bordwell.

I'd probably give away a quarter or so to the American Cancer Society in this "Relay for Life" thing I do in june. With the rest, I'd love a Birdsong...both in honor of Ben and more importantly because i've been looking all over for a great passive short scale bass. With the rest, I could use a good practice combo, some straps, strings, etc.
Keep your fingers crossed!

I'm thinking maybe a King Double Bass Slapking, but since I don't even play DB (yet?) it might be a bad idea to waste 2-3k on one.

Or maybe a Rob Allen, or any number of things.

I am definitely gonna be putting 10% (likely more, it depends) of the 5k toward some kind of good cause, but I think forcing everybody involved to do so would be crappy, and actually kind of against the spirit of the whole thing.

I will be donating 1,000 to some charity, probably the heiffer project http://www.heifer.org/ other than that, I don't know

+1
Well I can get two avg basses:
EBMM Stirling
Ric 4003
two on the cheaper end:
Kingston artist fretless
Spector Legend classic 6 string

and donate 500 to the charity that Pointbass does
where you donate bass to disenfranchised children
that would be sweet
everyone wins:hyper:

500 to my church too
we need a new playground for the kids
