Here is my NOS Pre~2010 black silk fender 7250L .

These were my favorite NPS rounds, used them for years. The black silks were cool also. Shame that Fender decided to close its
string manufacturing in Mexico. The new ones are OK, but nothing special IMO. To my ears they sound like D'addario NPS. The only good thing about the new ones is that they could be found a bit cheaper than D'addarios.
Just made an appreciation thread for these strings, having no idea that this group existed. A couple guys were kind enough to point me over here.
Favorite strings easily. First started using them when they came on my P bass. Up to that point I had been using different strings on every bass, depending on what sounded best. Never thought to use Fender stocks because honestly who would? Especially with so many "cooler" brands out there. But that P bass sounded best with 7250m's, and lost something whenever I tried anything else. I'm at the point now where the sound and feel of 7250m's is essential to making a bass feel like it's really mine. Even my Pedulla, which had the nice Pedulla strings, sounds and feels so much better now that it's got the Fenders on it. And I love that they don't have the nylon wrap at the ends. That stuff just frays and drives me nuts.

You can give me a number. I'm using them on the bass in my Avatar, quite by accident actually. That bass (Dimension) came with them. I immediately took them off and replaced them with Rotosounds, which made the bass "too growly" (I caught a lot of friendly flack for that post). I replaced the Rotosounds with D'Addarios which worked fine until I busted the A string. So I installed the original 7250 on it and now I'm really digging the sound. I shouldn't have taken them off in the first place but, you know how it is when you get a new bass... the strings are never right

This thread started out kind of wacky, but good to see it's starting to sound more like a real fan club with people who actually use and appreciate the product that this fan club is all about in the first place.
