The Fender 7250m Fanclub

had a set of these on my brand new fender jazz deluxe, they were on about 2 days, too bouncy too much clatter on the frets, and just too twangy in a bad way, put some Ernie ball 50-105 slinky s on and sounded miles better, only just looking at changing them after 6-7 months and they were not brand new then. still have the fender ones somewhere only used about 5 hours.

maybe its taste maybe its just a bad set, but i didn't like them at all, not had a set of roto sound ones iv'e liked yet either, although i am tempted to try a rota 66 set, or some ghs bass boomers, but so far iv'e always preferred Ernie balls and d'addario

If strings were meant to have silks then Fender 7250M's would have silks. Therefore, strings should not have silks. Your search is now officially over.

I just don't want to sit idly by while a fellow club member wastes his time searching for something while he already has perfection right in front of him.

Didn't I say earlier this whole thread is kind of goofy?

A little of both. I love them and they really are all I put on my fender P. For me, they last a long time and give me a really crispy tone that I had always been chasing. Admittedly it wasn't until after I changed out my bridge and pickups that I got that tone with these strings so, for me, it was a combination of things. You can't really beat the price of them either.

The thread started with someone asking me for stupidly exact clarification (hard to believe on TB, I know) when I compared them to rotos and just kind kept going. I STILL am too scared to take his dare and try rotos again.

see i don't no if people are taking the piss now, or i should did out those fender strings and slap em on for another try.

You do need to take each post in this thread with a grain of salt as this is a "tongue-in-cheek" thread with lots of "tongue-in-cheek" comments.

I'm not even a 7250M user but I was sucked into the membership simply by posting a comment at the beginning.
