I think it is OPINION. Some of us like clean tube power, some do not. You're clearly of the latter camp so what is BULL to you is perfectly sensible to others. Denigrating other people's opinions isn't all that helpful.

For what it's worth, I hooked up my 100T to both of my Fender Neo 410's. It seemed to push the 8x10's just fine. I can only imagine that it would do equally well with the 610 cab. The 8x10 sounded like the 4x10, just more of it. It was also nice having the 10's at face level instead of just at my pant leg.

Down here in New Zealand the only cabs available are the 610 and the 810. Apparently Fender told the importers the 610 should be combined with the 100T and the 810 with the SB300. To my ears both work fine with my neo 610, and some may remember that when I first got the neo 610 I ab'ed it with my Bergantino nv610 and ended up selling the berg! The Fender bin could cop the berg sound and a whole lot more.
I actually tried to persuade the importers to bring in a 410 but they were adamant that the 610/100T was Fender's recommended option.

Wish I could justify and had space for a 2nd 410, but the 410 seems loud enough for my gigs. Wish they offered a matching 210 Neo.

No problem, but when someone says an opinion is bull, especially in caps, it means that they think it's completely unfounded, as in as credible as the stuff that comes out of the rear end of a male cow. Pretty powerful words. So, I think it bears pointing out that if the suspect opinion is credible, it's worth responding in kind. If I had said "The 100T won't even work for a practice amp if there's a drummer", that would be bull, but saying that some of us would find it underpowered on gigs with less sensitive cabs is bull is, in fact, bull. Who's being sensitive here?

The Vintage channel mid control seems to be centered around 600Hz. On the Overdrive channel, the mid range peaks range from about 220Hz to about 3.4kHz.

Hey Tom, on the vintage channel do you know what freqs the bass and treble are centered at? Or does anyone else know?

According to the manual the vintage channel Bass is 40Hz, Mids 400Hz, Treble 4kHz
Played a show with the SBM last night. Used the overdrive channel the whole time. Its pretty incredible how the drive sits in the mix. When I play alone I use gain and blend at 4. But in the mix I had gain at 7 blend at 6 and it sat perfectly. What a great amp.

Quick question, and sorry if it has been answered, but I got the 100t last week, and it didn't have enough power at all, played through the neo 410 and my ampeg 610, both with my 2014 Gibson eb bass, on the vintage, 5 vol 5 master it had an amazing tone, but not the volume. Anything after that and it pushed to to a grit I didn't care for, I like some good clean headroom. I was looking into the super, what would you guys say about it volume wise when it comes to a good clean sound?

So much headroom. I play in a Very loud band. The SBM and the GK neo 4x12 are more than enough clean volume and power that id ever need.

Haven't used the 100T on a gig, but the 300 has headroom-clean if you want it- AND, HAMMERS

ditto, I owned both the 100T and the SB300 for a while but in the end found myself heading to the SB300 all the time for precisely that reason. I sold the 100T. That said, there are plenty of highly satisfied 100T owners who swear it is all they will ever need and prefer to have an amp that they can overdrive more easily. Me, I need the loud, clean headroom that the 300 provides.

Haha thanks for all the input, that's exactly what I needed. And the 100t is definitely a great head, but I'm shipping it back today, and will order the sb. My band going into the studio the first week of march, I'll post a track or two when I get them, and I'll get our engineer to isolate a bass and drum track so you guys can hear whatever tones and whatnot we get in there.

DO NOT, plug your cab accidentally into the extension speaker socket , instead of the main speaker socket, as this will make the amp make a scary noise that even pulling the mute knob out wont stop........... ive put a piece of tape over my extension socket so this wont happen.........

The amp is still OK I hope?! Sadly, I have a scary story of my own. Gigged the other night, and I was all plugged in and turned on for soundcheck having a grand old time. One of my friends in the band, who was running the whole show plus the sound, decided to turn off my power strip without warning. Needless to say, I freaked big time, like no one has ever seen me before. Amp is still in perfect working condition, thank god lol:scowl:

When my cab config. changes, as I'm sure it will, I'll be sure to do the same and place tape over that speaker jack. thanks for the warning, unfortunately you had to be the bearer of such tidings.

A sudden turn off of power wont hurt it. You dont NEED to turn to standby then off. Its just like you turned it off on the back. The opposite COULD be slightly abusive. Sending a full signal into a cold amp suddenly, but even then,probably not too bad for a one time occurrence.
