Greetings from the North,
I'm using 2 Traynor TC115's with mine that are without tweeters and I'm quite happy. I've been toying with the idea of making myself 'happier' by dropping Faital Pro 15PR400's in them. But for now they do the trick.

I've run an Ampeg SVT-II (NP) with a pair of Bag Ends and it sounded great. I have since sold the Bags. I used an AudioKinesis TC115-8 about a month ago with the SB300 and it was so good that I had to order one of those cabs for myself.
Two NV115's with the SB300 is just fantastic. Highly recommended!
Yes... the NV115's are high on my list but I believe they are a sealed cab design no? I have never played a sealed cab and am not sure how they will be different from the ported cabs I am used to.
It is a sealed cab. It's a little more "deep" in my opinion than the ported cabs I've played. Some people don't dig it because it's kind of an old school sound that a 6 string Ken Smith that you're playing contemporary jazz through might not sound as articulate as the ported cabs but I dig it, my jazz and p basses sound great through it and the SB300, and not as muffled as some might have experienced. Just my two cents...

Sealed cabs and tube heads are a match made in heaven, IME/IMHO.

I love running mine into 2 115's but unless a heap of volume is needed, I prefer just one 15" cab with it (@ 8 ohms) as I can crank THE SB300 more and get those 6550's pumping.

For me, running two 1x15s is less about volume and more about thump and feel. The concept of "weight" behind a note was hammered home last week as I stood in front of a bass player in New Orleans, at the French Quarter Festival. I could feel his bass in my chest and is positively propelled the rhythm section. Impressive. I am hoping the SB300 and a pair of 15's provides that kind of feel.
Got the head on Friday and had a chance to play around with it over the weekend. Funny thing is that I never figured on playing too much on the active channel, but once I heard it, I cant stay away! The gain and especially the blend knobs are unreal. You can get a great overdrive sound and still keep all the bottom you could ever ask for. I was a bit worried about going for the 300 as I was afraid I would not be able to let it do its thing (too much volume) , but this guy truthfully sounds great at even the lowest volumes! If you are considering this amp, and can afford the 300 super, I say go for it. Its a beauty! I truly believe I have found my sound, I think Im done buying amps and cabs.
Placed my order this morning with Sweetwater. They gave me an amazing price. I ordered the SB with the 610 both in Blonde/Oxblood. I hope it doesnt take too long for them to get them in. I have been waiting to get this set up for a while. Glad I finally got to pull the trigger on this one. /excited!!!
One of my good friends who is a bassist has been raving about the BM300 for years and I finally had to try one. I just bought a BM300 and wanted to try it out vs my Mesa 400+.
I tried it out thru 2 4 ohm 212 cabs and 2 4 ohm 410 cabs . It was no contest!!
The Mesa 400+ destroyed the BM. In re to volume...i could not believe the BM300 was so weak. Only about 1/2 as loud as the Mesa. I sent it back. I wanted to love it but my ears and my bands ears
all said RETURN IT. I should note that this particular head had a dent in the wooden frame indicating that it received trauma of some kind...so is possible it could have been malfunctioning.

Don't want to knock your opinion, DAcat, but having owned and gigged a Mesa 400+ for several years and now gigging an sb300 my opinion would be totally the opposite. The 400+ certainly has plenty of grunt, but in terms of tone, versatility and useable clean headroom the SB300 wins out over the 400+ in spades IMO. It is in another league - perhaps the unit you tried was faulty or maybe it takes a while to come to grips with the considerable options available on the Fender SB300.
As I say, you are entitled to your opinion but my gigging experience with both in a loud band brings me to the opposite conclusion.
EDIT: On further reflection, the two amps are voiced differently, IIRC the 400+ has a bit of an upper mid emphasiswhich can of course be eq'd out, and this could also be a factor. The sb300 has greater bottom end wallop imo. The 400+ has much of its volume in the early part of the volume knob which can be misleading, hence the rather common 12AU7 (I think) tube swap mod which many of us did to our 400+s back in the day. The Fender has a smoother, more linear and useable sweep than I remember the 400+ having.
