I have a squier vintage mod. Here's a video of me and my dad's band. My first show and kinda nervous and cold and wet. It was cold and wet the whole show day. Weather said warm and dry. Stupid florida weather................

Hey all, i really hope someone can give me a bit of advice. I live in Korea and i thinking about buying a particular Fender Jaco Pastorius Fretless. Basically its been in the shop since i've been in this country(18months) i guy says he sell it to me for $1600 which i reckon is pretty good.

His English isn't great but he assures me its an American import but most fenders in Korea are Japanese. How can i tell for sure? Is there any details i can look for? Any help would be great!
I've been dreaming about this guitar!

I had a Jaco Relic and also the Squre Vintage Modified Jazz...

Sound, very similar since the Squire has a reson fingerboard and the Jaco has the epoxy coated...

Huge difference in sound, no, look and wow factor, the jaco relic took the cake...

I don't know if I ever posted photos of my fretless Spector. I probably did, but I don't remember.

I used my fretless in church on Sunday. Normally I play a Mexican-made Fender Precision at church (their instrument), but it's in major need of TLC. So I brought my own. It got noticed for the physical beauty and for sound. It was really nice to have a congregation observant enough to pay attention to such things.

Spade2You, your collection is awesome. Aikakone, what a marvelous looking bass (good photo!) - it has to sound as great as it looks.

Wagstaff, I think you have great taste in bass finishes - that's just an amazing looking bass. I've never heard or seen Stagg before - it has such style, lookswise. Wow.

OneBassShort, that blue/green bass is amazing, too.

Maybe by the time a person chooses a fretless, they're really keyed into the aesthetics of basses? Or is that fretless basses, as a group, are beautiful?

(Or that jazz-oriented bass players just plain have great taste...?)
