Just picked up this bad boy today. It's a little tight on my pedal board, but man, it's worth that last .00001% of tubey goodness! ;)

SOLD - Arkham Oracle

And now that I have the Noble, I wish I had the Oracle instead. But I've been holding on to the Noble because everyone wants me to compare preamps to the Noble.

All of these things I've told you before via PM when you asked.

Got an email from Becos today. My compressor is on the way, but apparently they have upgraded the pedal with a new feature which mine will have. It is not yet on their website, so they sent me a link to the manual.

The new feature is a Side Chain Filter switch. Here's what the manual says about it and a picture of what the new pedal will look like:

SCF SWITCH ‐ Side Chain Filter switch has two positions: Normal (N), Deep (D). In Normal position, the Side Chain Filter is set to accommodate a large range of audio signals and instruments. By design, it has an attenuation of lower frequencies below 1 KHz,which allows the compressor to act with a short delay and let lower frequencies pass through without triggering the compression right away. This setting renders a natural response that is suitable for most cases. In Deep (D) position, more of the lower end frequency (an additional ‐12dB@130Hz) is freed up to prevent triggering compressor kicking in too early. This setting lets more of the low end pass through at the output, while also lowering the amount of compression. This is a proper setting for guitar if a fuller sound is needed and especially for bass instrument.

That sounds really cool. Probably similar to what the DL Photon Death Ray does with it's "natural ear adjustment" or whatever they call it.
