I do like the HPF on the Oracle. Haven't had a chance to use it at a gig yet but it's done well at our large and boomy lockout when I tested it. That said it doesn't/won't replace the Broughton HPF/LPF for me. The versatility of controlling specific frequencies is just to nice to give up and I like having it as a separate effect on the board. When it comes to gigging in clubs and bars in which the majority have less than stellar acoustics the Broughton HPF/LPF is my desert island pedal. Even over the Oracle. Haven't had a problematic room I couldn't reign in since adding it to my board. Added bonus is the noticeably improved efficiency of my amp.

I'm not sure how the HPF works on the Aftershock but I'm guessing it only works if you're running it as an always on effect which ties it to your drive and probably has to be a preset as well? I would imagine between the Oracle and Aftershock you'd be covered well enough and definitely worth trying them before you buy anything additional.

I wholeheartedly support that decision. I honestly have not turned mine off at rehearsal or a gig since getting it so it might as well be the always on version. LOL. Even if I don't need to tame any boom down I still like the improved efficiency I get out of my amp from running it.

Early fall...September'ish for DI versions. He's got a couple people on the waitlist for them already I believe. If you want the DI version just message Micah and he'll put you in the cue and be able to better pinpoint the time frame. 2-3 weeks ago when I talked to him he was 6 weeks out from having the transformers in to be able to start building. Definitely email him though. He's super quick with communication and very fun and easy to work with.

The Rupert Neve RNDI is phenomenal paired with the Oracle fyi. I know, everyone wants something smaller. I just want something good. I really really like my current pedalboard for my needs, and it's not changing.

Lots of people seem to like it. I wish it would fit on a smaller board. The oracle, the RNDI, the stagebug or whichever radial it is that supplies power for the rndi as to not depend on Phantom, it gets to be a lot.

You can supply phantom power via a Mackie M48 ($60) which can be powered by your Cioks DC7.

@AgostoMortal It's the same size/housing. He had a transformer built that he can use and allow him to re-arrange the internal components and add the DI. He will most likely be able to retrofit existing units with a TRS output. This pic from insta is the only thing so far. Assuming it's going to replace output 2

Is phantom power actually an issue for a lot of people? I've seen a few posts now about that being a big drawback of the RNDI....but I've never played a single venue or run into any situation where I wasn't able to get phantom. We even run IEMs with my band for rehearsals in my drummers basement...and he's able to power my RNDI off whatever random cheap interface he's using to run into Logic.

I just like being self sufficient at all times. And if I want to run it into my amp at a gig then I'd need something to power it. It's just odd that the ONLY option is Phantom/48 Is the only power option.
