Lol. I could have one delivered to my door tomorrow by the owner. Hmm.All that for $180!? The first result on Google (for me) is a shop a couple miles from me. Sent them an email.

I haven't turned my Edison pre off when I play since I bought it. It just makes everything sound better to me. I run mine before my Tone Hammer DI for recording, or in the effects loop of my TH500 when I play through my amp. The sound of my effects have GREATLY improved. I really hadn't expected to love it as much as I do.
I'll be quite interested to try it out. I was originally thinking about replacing my Qstrip with a tube preamp/DI, but the great suggestions from the experts (Preamp Nerds) in this thread about adding the Edison really got me thinking, and I'm going to go with it as soon as I can. I should probably stop following this thread now, or I'm going to have a preamp obsession. That Nux looks nice, and oooooo... that Beelzebub Boost that @DirtyDuke pointed out.........
(Also, I do mean the term Preamp Nerds in a totally positive way... much like I'm an Envelope Filter Nerd!)
5sg.
Gotta say, when I saw the video of it from NAMM, I was not impressed at all. But this video has really changed my mind. Especially from about 2:44 on, once you get past the muddled slapping with a drum machine and looper. Seems like an incredible value.
Has anybody given a review or comparison with the API Tranzformer LX... Don't know why they spell it with a z. I have not played it but seems nice and love API compression.

Discussing this preamp with Chris, but with some changes to the eq, more suited to bass
that looks great, and i just happen to be in the market for a mic pre, but no high pass filter on a mic pre??http://www.siegmundguitars.com/SimplexVintage.html

That’s some expensive... and intriguing... taste...
WOW! If that sounds anything like it looks, it’s a grand slam! Beautiful piece! He built me the Big Boy 330. Mine is the walnut one at the bottom with kt150s. Its 1 of 1

I just subscribed to this thread as I am in need of changing my preamp for going directly to the house. Right now I have the TC Spectra Drive, Trace Elliot Transit B, and Fishman Platinum Pro. Of these three I like the TC SD best, but I find I'm wanting something more or different. I like a bit of subtle tube character, but not obnoxious.
I really want to hear your impressions on this preamp.
