@scubaduba my god, the ALiX is so good... I can't decide between it and the Oracle. The Oracle is "thicker" sounding but the ALiX has such a beautiful punch and clarity, and its EQ is all so useful all the time... good boost too... mmm...

I sometimes think it would be nice to have a board with both and a blender or something to switch between them. I like a good vintage tone, and a good warm clean tone.

One can always dream. Which leads to GAS. Which leads to ...

How much bigger is the Oracle than the RNDI?

Lengthwise they are similar but the Oracle is very tall. The RNDI is a bit shorter in length.

Yeah. I just unboxed the ALiX today and have it squared against the Oracle. If I have time tonight, I'll try and record a soundclip of the two; solo'd, no other pedals...

I'm literally wanting to just record record record. I'm so inspired with this. It has literally made me want to play with no extra effects (reverb, delay, etc).

Turn the mid sweep to 700khz then cut the mids to 10:00 or so. Turn the Q dial all the say counterclockwise. Turn up the bass dial to 1:30 or so. Juice the gain so the green LED is always on. There's some fat, almost tube like tone.

I figured that as I would think the extra clarity and top end the Cali adds would benifit any tube preamp IMO. That's why I ordered another Cali.
