Ignore the SX, possibly - ignore the Gibson, never! I've got a walnut EB-3 just like that one and another one that started out life as a cherry but got abandoned in the midst of a refinish to white (a story involving hot dogs and the Grateful Dead).
I've owned this bass since 1987.

i got an old ibanez soundgear. got it as my first bass. i put in new pickups. also can i get a number
Already got a number. Finally got some decent pics of my beloved RD300 though. I polished it beforehand, therefor everything within a 2 metre radius is reflecting off the body.

I bought this new in '76 great playing bass and after a few mod done way back it sounds fantsatic, one of my best sounding basses !

Has anyone tried the Ibby SR400PB (Invalid Link Removed) ? I'm seriously tempted due to the outstanding poplar burl top, but on the other hand the body is made from basswood, wich I don't like too much (also the color is not something to die for and it would have prolly worked better with gold hardware, but oh well). I've seen one in the local GS, but haven't got the chance to test it out. Anyone knows more about this model? I can't seem to find it on the Ibby site - is it a limited edition, a local edition, or what?

I finally snapped a pic of my Ibanez Road Star II DB 680. To be honest, I got this in a trade, and was going to flip it. But man, it really sounds and plays nice (after a little TLC and a setup)!
It is a little noisy (not bad), and so I might see if I can shield it better than how it now stands. But the tone is quite good, and man, does it just feel/play nice!

Just got this guy done and had a violin horn put on the end. Painted in deep purple with all gold hardware and a gold badass II Bridge. Reverend Pickups and Custom designed pickguard.
