I've had my Ibanez SRA 500 bass since April (my birthday gift for myself). My first bass <3 Love it.

Man I dont see ANYONE with this same model. They are awesome, and comfortable.

That's cuz the SRAs came out this year. I love them. I want to get an SRA300 soon.

They only made it for a year, apparently. I had no idea what model it was when I bought it, only that it was light and comfortable to play and sounded good.

I don't know what it is, but it's not a 500 or 800. The tuners look like prestige tuners, and it appears to be a neck-through. The 4 knobs are oriented differently than an 800; more in a diamond pattern. There doesn't appear to be any fretboard dots. The bridge is a B-20, the pickups appear to be AFR's. The bridge looks black, while the tuners look like cosmo chrome.

I have a 2010 Ibanez SR500PB that I bought new from GC. I would like to know what type of strings it has. None of the GC people at the store knew.

Does someone know what type/brand of strings come stock on Ibanez basses?

According to Ibanez, the 5 string Gio's are strung with G - .045 D - .065 A - .085 E - .105 B - .130 D'Andrea strings, so it's a fair guess that you bass has everything but the .130 B on it.

Can't post a pic, but I recently bought an SR505 and I LOVE it!! I can now relate to the term "this bass plays itself." Sounds great, feels and plays great. What's really nice for me is the fact that it weigh's 7.5 pounds. At 57 years old and with a problem in my neck, my 10.5 Fender 5 string Jazz was giving me a lot of problems. No such problem with my 505. It's a very sturdy, very well built bass and the electronics are dead silent. Love the tones I can get by experimenting with the mid knob and the mid switch. Lots of variation.

I used it at church for the first time this past Sunday and the band members as well as a few musicians in the congregation told me the tone was phenominal!

This Ibanez soundgear Gio was my first bass. Dont know much about it; got it in a pawn shop.
