I have the same one (maple neck and fingerboard) in the the 4 version... There are some songs that this works great on for me, but not as wide ranging as my basses that have a rosewood fingerboard.

Nice, I like the look of the SR506 with the maple fingerboard the most out of the 3 options, too bad they don't have those spiffy oval inlays the ebony and rosewood boards have.

Hello to all... Can anybody help identify this Ibanez? I've had this bass for a couple years now and have always wanted to know what model it is. The person I bought it from had no clue what model it was either. Love playing it. The slim neck really helps my hands. The serial number is F9941117 Japan. Has volume, blend and stacked bass/treble cut boost ..mid sweep/mid cut/boost, battery powered. DDXP and DXJ pick ups. I thought I'd give this a shot before taking the neck off to see whats under there. Here are a couple pics. Thanks.

That's a 1999 MIJ SR800ATC. I believe it says that one has an ash body.

I've seen that model and also thought it was that but, it's different at the neck pocket and has different pick ups and mine has a flat black headstock thats not matching. Here are a couple closer pics. Thanks for the help.

Hmm, I see what you're saying. Maybe yours is just a standard 800 and not the ATC.

That looks like it for sure. he said he took the neck off to confirm it. Thanks Danomite! I think I will still take the neck off to be sure....it needs a set up anyway.
