Forgot to mention my 1999 Prestige 3006 that I had converted to fretless. Anyone else totally in love with the Ibanez 3-band pre with sweepable mids? I think it stands up to just about anything else!

I feel you on this.Cubeface said:... I'm a big Ibanez fan, But for some reason I really don't like the looks of the BTBs.
IotaNet said:I am a big Ibby fan also but the BTB's don't have the "streamlined" look of some of the SR's. Some people might call them more "substantial-looking" but to my eyes, they're a little too chunky/chubby.

Just wanted to share some pics of my baby.
The body is chunked near the pickup, but it doesn't affect the play.
I don't know how old it is, but it is Korean.
Can I tell the manufacture date from the serial #?

That's a very elegant bass right there, to my eyes at least, keep the good feeling!Templar said:Speaking of Ibanez, I got this SR-1205 recently. Very nice bass. This one looks a bit different than others I've seen. The stringers in the neck are wider. Anyone have this lovely dark finish on theirs?
