my SR405

need some adjustment of strings or bridge, recently i've beeng tapping a lot. i m guessing there is some thing wrong with the setup and i m still seaching where the problem is.

anyway, here she is.

I saw your Kawai listed and was sad for you that you had to let it go. Almost considered purchasing it myself. But I'm even happier for you that you got to keep it; you'd have been kicking yourself later. I've also got a Musician (MC824 though) and a zebra FIIB. Awesome instruments.

I also understand the nostalgia aspect. I picked up a really excellent condition Blazer this week after looking for one for ages. It was my first bass.

Thanks! The second decal there is actually Rukia from the anime Bleach.

I don't know why you dig Mist though... I mean, their entire concept of success was to train their ninja to kill each other... that's why they're pretty much through.

Konoha is where the party is at.

Can anyone explain to me the food chain regarding ATKs?

I owned a 95 Japanese made ATK which outplayed any Musicman I've ever seen. It was amazing.

I then bought a 98 Korean made ATK which was still pretty good but not in the same league.

Which is the 300 or 400 or 500 series? Which ones are the highest rated? What is the best ATK type to check for on evilbay?

I think the 300's were Korean made, and the 500's were Japanese. There was also a line that was made in the United States that look incredible. Recently, on the 'Bay, there was a Koa ATK500 that sold for under $500... it was stunning. I believe the pictures are a couple of pages back in this thread. Check'em out and cry like I did ^_^

Your bass is beautiful by the way!

I think those GSR's are hiding something inside... My GSR200 (the 190 with a matching headstock) outplays basses twice as expensive. Those stock Ibanez electronics coupled with a good setup and some high quality steels can pack quite a strong punch!

I think your right, the US made ones were called USATK's :P , and the ATK400 series is made in korea and it also has a J pup at the neck
