The Iconic P-Bass

Oddly enough, he used an original slab style Gibson EB-0 in his band with Midge Ure, Rich Kids, as well as on an album/tour with Iggy Pop circa 1980, plus in a short-lived band, the Spectres.
But, besides a dalliance with a Ric during the Pistols, the white P has always been there. Saw him recently with Blondie.
He had the P recently in London when the Sex Pistols were playing with Frank Carter.

He had it when I saw the ‘96 reunion tour. But he does spend a fair amount of time on guitar. I caught an interesting co-tour where he and former Stranglers guitarist Hugh Cornwell shared a rhythm section of Blondie drummer Clem Burke and a bassist named Paul Fish, each doing their own set.

And if anyone's wondering why a Thunderbird Club denizen would be posting on the P-Bass thread-

There you have it- reminds me a bit of the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" gatefold photos of the twin platinum blondes - Dee and Davey - bassist and guitarist respectively -
