My son's three bands have been named (chronologically):
"I'm a loner, Dotty - A rebel." (bonus points if you get the reference)
The Lobsters
Totally Dad (this one actually made the list of really bad names published in The Onion)
I got the bonus points.
2 names my brother came up for our duo when we were jamming together.
boogie rap toe jam - not sure what to think of that one
backwords mouthpeace - (play on words) from a pic of my brother in diapers standing next to my father with a trombone mouthpiece backwards in his mouth while my father was playing his trombone....this one stuck, and is still our moniker when ever we get together.

friends named their band get ready for it they named it BAND!!! and you guys thought you were clever
my band went by "gina and the crucial parts" for one gig...then we swore after that to never cover avril lavigne again hence losing the need for the name.
Do a search for that thread. Okay. It won't work because everything in the thread is generic. But we had one of my favorite threads ever about a band called BAND. It was hilarious.
And I just realized how old it makes me feel to be reminded of a thread while reading another thread.

I was in a power metal trio called "Crowd" (no "the"). Great guitarist and bassist but the name was not great - you know, "three's a crowd."

There used to be a band (don't know if they're still around) that used to play in Western PA / Eastern OH...they would dress up as Amish Dutch and even took names like Sven Yoder, Levi Yoder...etc...
