With all the clubs that we have on here I am surprised that there isn't a club for Ken Smith owners. So let's see the basses! Here's mine, a 2008 BSR5GN with black crotch walnut and tiger maple:

  2. Here's mine. Sorry I don't have a better photo. The tiger maple flame is beautiful.

    They are awesome aren't they!

  5. Why thank you! Yours looks amazing as well!

Have you played many Smiths? Mine is the only one I've ever played.

I'm in!!! I was wondering when someone would start a Ken Smith Club! Here's my 2007 Black Tiger 5, courtesy of Dan Lenard of Luthiers Access Group. Thanks, Vision for starting us out!

Yep, I've played many of them over the years. Smiths are very consistent in tone, regardless of the woods used. They all have that great Smith tone. It's the exact opposite from MTD's which sound really different depending on the woods used.

  16. This... is a very dangerous thread for me. I WILL own a smith one day. I tried out a 4 string in My local music store and it was the sound i had always wanted. Unfortunately, its also a sound a can't a afford right now :(
