I am still questioning @ #5 XansNiceSweater. Did he ever follow through on the 1-string EUB w/ the sneaker floor-stop ? I hope he did, for sure .. but never any proof. Asterisk.

Congratulations, nice growl on that thing, very bear-like I'd say.
So, if I play slap bass for a bear on a bass that growls like a bear, would it still get angry?

A short video about my triple Krappy, and yeah I really do talk like an 80s Soviet movie villain who moved to Texas.
Alright, I've had it for a couple days now and bring forth my first impressions.
Tone - This is my favourite part of this bass. I opted for just a volume knob, and I couldn't be happier. When I first got it home and plugged it in, I didn't even need to change my amps EQ to make it sound great.
Playability - The neck is great, it's got a flat D profile, and it is actually extremely comfortable. I wouldn't be lying to say that this profile is one of my favourites now.
Construction - Everything seems solid. The heel at the headstock is a bit big for my liking, but it is pure aesthetics. It does not get in the way of playing at all. Aside from that, the bass has good build quality.
Hardware - The bridge is a two part bridge, both pieces (I assume) were made by Kevin. I like the bridge alot, I think it looks classy. The front part of the bridge is a bit rough (just not ground/steel wooled enough), but again, doesn't affect anything but aesthetics. The little tuners are good. They hold tune just fine, I was pleasantly surprised. They get a bit hard to tune once you're almost up to tune, but it isn't unmanageable.
Finish - This is where the bass is lacking. I like the oil rubbed look and feel, but there was glue still on the bass in some spots, and it was not sanded smooth in some spots. I didn't care, that is something that I can take care of easily enough.
To me (maybe it's because of the "Honeymoon" period, or maybe its true) this bass plays better than any of the lower - mid priced fretless basses I've played. I've played the Ibanez Garry Willis at a pawn shop, and I like this one more.
All in all, this bass has taught me two things:
1) I LOVE playing fretless. This is my first, but WILL NOT be my last!
2) I also LOVE singlecut basses. Again, this is my first, but NOT my last.
Anyways, once my dad gets home with the camera I'll snap some photos, and I plan on doing a video so you guys can hear it.
