Here it is prior to a few modifications. I've since sanded the edges smooth and applied a layer of tung oil. This one doesn't have a truss rod and is fretless. The fret lines are pretty much meaningless in the cold VT winters. The bow on the neck is pretty legendary. My next one will have a truss rod and frets.

In case you haven't seen it, here's my TB post asking for help on ordering a Krappy:

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/krappy-owners-lovers-strange-design-help-945420/

I'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks!

I can answer you first question, will Kevin make it ? That answer is yes. I like the 2 string bass, 4-string guitar idea myself. If you tune the guitar DGBE low-to-high, it's like a baritone uke, or a tenor guitar/banjo in Chicago tuning.
But overall you'd have a six-string guitar with the 2 low strings sunk an octave lower and stretched out on a longer neck.

Krappy, Krappy, Krappy!

You can hear it on the song "Czerwony pas" (krappy kover of a Polish folk song) at Link Removed - it's the distorted track. I think I used the three-string neck.

And some guy who isn't me playing it:

If his band ever gets famous I'm gonna use that photo to blackmail him.

just your typical 5 string bass...
