On the Daft Bat idea, I have given this serious thought and still am. Having committed myself to the dragon inlay Draig seemed more appropriate especially since all my previous builds had gone out under the Dragon name. I'm now considering having a second brand for want of a better word, say keep the Draig for the more formal build like this and use Daft Bat for the more fun type bass with a decal rather than Mother of Pearl or at request

C'mon, man. I pride myself on grammar and vocabulary.
In this case, the phrase refers to language. In the bad old days, when the mean English King conquered Wales, he tried to make everyone speak English.
The Welsh secretly kept up their traditions and language through oral history and would encourage each other to continue the silent fight with the phrase "Remember your Welsh!"

When I'm back it will be bind the headstock, cut the trussrod access slot and drill it's hole, Finish the neck tenon, fret the fingerboad fit the side dots and stick it on before carving the neck.

Well the list is shrinking, I had really hoped to get the fretboards glued on before we went on holiday but it has been just too hot, not good weather for doing work on necks. A bit like fitting drawers, a job to do on a mild dry day, not when it's wet and miserable and not when it's baking hot and bone dry

We're back off holiday so I had a few hours in the workshop today.
I routed the headstock for the truss rod access slot and then drilled the hole for the nut to fit into.The truss rods were fitted and a strip of masking tape put over then to stop glue getting in the slot and fouling the rods.
I rolled the frets to about an 8" radius, cut the wire into lengths and started trimming the ends with a grinding wheel in a Dremel, fiddly but it worked OK. I fitted the frets using a press and nipped off the ends. That was about it other than to make a clamping caul to protect the fretboard when I do eventually glue it to the neck which should be later this week daily life permitting
