I'm starting to think that I'm the weird one because I haven't named my basses.
Don't worry, I don't name mine either.
definitely female.. And her name is 'jazz'
Great curves..... Black body and blonde neck
I spend a lot of time with her and it is a great relationship ...
She went shopping online on Friday night and bought herself two sets of flats..
As far as bags and accessories its leather straps and a soft bag for local travel.
Hard travel case preferred for overnight or long distance travel...
She doesn't like sitting in the sun but will stay up late at night given the chance..
She has an older 5 string sister and two p bass cousins with another member of the family...
They were all born in USA and Jazz seems to like living with me since she made the journey down under..
Jazz for all intents and purposes is well mannered on the outside but she certainly has her raunchy side ...
She is a pick or fingers type of girl and doesn't seem to care too much for that slap and pop, but is ok with a bit of a spanking every now and then...
I just consider mine the henchman/help....

I'm also practicing technique and theory and reading music - even classical stuff (it just took time - and effort - especially in the beginning). There is so much it just goes on forever. Not to mention an extensive record and CD collection to play along with. And then there is YouTube... and TalkBass!

you can find the heartbreak and headaches and back-stabbing pains by being in bands or in the music biz, period.
They're all scammers now.
Every one's trying to control you or make you do what they want... or build a career on your back... or tape your bass lines so's they can steal 'em...
You got to be a damn fool to waste your time in shed bands playin' in an unfinished basement beside the furnace, below your skill level, at a repetitious repertoire of someone else's favourite tunes - or probably their wife's faves...
I'm an old lone-wolf... AROOOOGH!!! And I'm having a ball!
I've accrued an over-flowing supply of Tutorial CD's and books to learn from, whether is is electric bass, double bass (try bowing with the stick o'pain), guitar, plectrum banjo (an under-rated instrument) and now drums - just to improve my riddum.I'm also practicing technique and theory and reading music - even classical stuff (it just took time - and effort - especially in the beginning). Why do I do this?? Just for my own pleasure and satisfaction. Better than any hobby I can think of ('cept for chasin' after womens). Some people collect stamps but they don't want a job with three other collectors making them. Neither do shady tree mechanics... or amateur athletes or artists or wood carvers... they just do it for themselves... I probably enjoy talkin' about music with others more than trying to start a band with 'em... Music is a passion and playing with others is great! But why start a band...? Stuck with the same ol' goofy lookin' faces all the time... playin' the same ol' songs. I'd rather be a butler... or a proctologist...
I've played in bands and I've played professionally. They only pay chump change now for musicians (or they want you to bring your friends and family down to be the payin' audience) - it ain't worth it to pack-up, lift carry and drive and set-up and play and tear down and take it all back home and unpack and ... WHEW! HOLY CRAB!
And if you thought the heartbreak of psoriasis wasn't bad enough, you can find the heartbreak and headaches and back-stabbing pains by being in bands or in the music biz, period.

ain't no shed bands made it big in fifty years anyway - you ain't missin' nothin'...
Play with yourself... for yourself... by yourself... at least you be warm and dry and indulge in your favourite indulgence, whilst you play along with the best musicians in the world - on your stereo...![]()

Yeah, whatever. Playing bass all alone is almost like playing baseball alone. No bueno.
