*******THE LONE WOLF CLUB**********

I use to be so hung up on having to be in a band ..

Am enjoying being free of that hang up

I practice and play my bass just about every day

Enjoying having time to go over really basic things and feeling everything getting stronger

Musical horizons opening up

Time on forum and cuddling with the Mrs on cold nights

Yep bands are great, but life as a lone wolf certainly has its benefits

:)

Well said sir

I played well today had fun played my Beatles and it sounded good practiced one of my favorites Dear Prudence love that song.

Hey MJ...that's one of mine too. I was really fortunate in having a much older cousin who bad a great record collection. He made me listen to the Beatles on headphones when I was about 6 or 7. I thought was the coolest so I immediately became a fan lol.

So my now 13 year old son has taken up drums and is getting quite good for only 6 months of lessons. He doesn't really like the tunes I play, his favorite band in Billy Talent, so guess what I'm learning to play? Jamming with him in the basement is a blast.

I don't have kids, but i'd imagine it'd be immensely frustrating to have my kids dismiss the bands I love and be into, shall we say, subpar cookiecutter music. :D
I'd play him some Bonham or Moon if he's a drummer! Try to get him into that.

Disclaimer: I have never heard of billy talent. They/he might be amazing.

I wouldn't consider Billy Talent (band, not a person) to be part of that category, they're quite good IMO. Punk band from up here IIRC, they've got some good stuff. Their newest album is full of catchy but very powerful stuff (Dead Silence, give it a try).

I have shared all the classic players with him, he likes Keith Moon, but gets inspired to play when listening to billy talent.

I think I'm a lone wolf because I don't trust others. Right now my favorite bass is in the shop for repairs, I dropped him off a week ago (is it odd I call my basses 'he'?) they said I'd get an estimate Monday. They didn't call, and I had nightmares of them mistakenly selling my bass and I called today; they said they'd call tomorrow....
