So this club didn't really last, did it? Last week I got my hands on an Infinity Looper and...oh man. It's overkill for what I need, but I got an amazing price and I really wanted the MIDI quantize feature. I've been focusing most of my looping efforts on guitar, but this thing is sweet. Just last night was the first time I tried it on bass, and that was a lot of fun too. One thing doing the looping has taught me which shouldn't be a surprise at all (but it really drove it home for me anyway) is that I really need to think about effects, EQ, and playing in a different register when I'm looping, otherwise it's all a muddy mess. I'm sure these same thoughts apply to playing in a band setting and finding a way to sit in/cut through the mix (whatever one's preferred terminology).
I don't need a #. Looking forward to exploring the possibilities.
