the mad drummer... then and now

Have you ever seen one of those so-called Karen videos lately? In other words, seems like a shrinking distinction.

For great Karenocity, check out this playlist. This dude takes "Karen" videos and makes them into metal songs. Due to content I'm not gonna embed the vids here, but go to this link and run through the playlist. I think Number 4 is my favorite.

Good god, what stupidity. Nothing on the road is worth getting that upset. Here in Texas, that dude would probably get shot, which would also be insane.

He's lucky he didn't get shot here too. 20 years ago, in that area, the chance of running into an Avenues gang member or Mexican Mafia veterano would have been far higher. If he were doing that 10 miles further south down the road his luck not be so good.

My first thought was to get the heck out of there as quickly as possible. And as luck would have it, as quickly as possible means driving on the shoulder. It's just unfortunate that the open driver's door happened to be in the way.

You're asking me where? In Glendale on Route 2 or basically north side of L.A.
Ah, the crawl on the bottom of the screen grab mentions something about the 71, which goes north from 91 in Corona, past Norco(lovely place)and on up to Chino. Hadn’t watched the video. That mislead me. Now I understand what you were saying about the Avenues gang, I spent some time up and down Figueroa north of the 5.

Got it.

Bingo, Highland Park.

I've lived in this area for nearly 20 years. I used to live on Ave 57 a block from Mr T's Bowl on Fig, in the center of it, before I could afford to get a place a couple miles up where it's quiet and tucked away from all that.
