the mad drummer... then and now

2. That suit's eyes, together with the frantic drumming, gives the impression of complete insanity.
That's just another day in Japan ;) I want to live there at some point.
Vocals make It baffling too. Drums ignore the song's groove completely and the vocal keeps the original rhythm of the song with the same childish enthusiasm.
Here is a transcription lol

my husband grew up in eagle rock and highland park. and there are some areas up there that are more than sketchy. man, has he got stories. but i think el sereno, where mr t's bowl used to be, was pretty... er... interesting in places. there was a stabbing inside the club once when we played there. we ended up being pulled off stage to join a lineup out back, then finished our set.

Finish the set after a stabbing? :rollno: I can't fathom or stomach that.

we didn't see any of the bleeding or the actual stabbing. the guy was part of a group of rockabilly guys who were attacked by another group on the dance floor, so we saw a lot of pushing and shoving, but not the actual stabbing or any serious violence. we weren't sure what happened till the police told everyone.

I'm from Morgantown, WV, and I only ever saw the band in that video - Rick K and the Allnighters - booked at hotels and conference rooms, never bars or clubs. They were thought of as a joke by the local "real bands".

Two decades later, those dudes are apparently living the life of full-time musicians and touring, so good for them!
