the mad drummer... then and now

I have a question about his brand:

"Mad" as in, needs to be straight-jacketed in a rubber room, or...

"Mad" as in, the guy at the deli counter got his order wrong?

all drummers are at least a little "mad." just sayin'.

One of my best friends during high school/late-teens was a drummer, the youngest of 12 kids from an Irish Catholic family originally from Boston. His mom was the Church Lady and his father was the head surgeon at the county hospital. The father, maybe his mother too, were knighted by the Pope. Their house was kind of like a rectory. Most of the siblings were pretty serious musicians. He and some of the others studied at Berklee.

A tightly wound spring. With drums.
