, next to the one I started, naturally. 
My PJ4 is almost finished. This will be my first PJ and my first Lull. It is Ash\Rosewood. I was never asked about strings. What should I expect the bass to come with or should I specify? I use XLs on the J and TI flats on the 75 P. What about Sunbeams on this bad boy?
Unless otherwise requested, your bass will ship with Dunlop strings. Some folks love 'em. I love DR Sunbeams on these instruments.
NB: there's a great interview with Mike Lull (misspelled as "Muke Lull" under one of the attached pictures) and Jeff Ament in the December issue of BP.
I read this interview in BP, it's really cool to hear Mike talk about helping out PJ and other Seattle bands.
Pretty surprised no one has talked about it before now.
Also has lotsa good shots of Jeff's basses made or customized by Mike.

I know that previously he used a lot of parts from USACG, but it's come to my attention recently that he's building everything in house at this point, and using Nordstrand pickups as standard on 5-ers.
I was reading some past threads, and ran across that comment a few times. Of course it didn't influence me from buying one. Is it Monday yet?

The "parts" bass argument is usually done by fans of other larger companies; ie Fender, to denigrate companies like Lull, Sadowsky, etc. The last I checked, the smaller companies subcontract their body and necks because the investment in CNC machinery was huge compared to the volume of work they do.
That said, Mike does all the finish work on his necks. I got that info directly from Mike. So I really don't care who did what necause in the end, Mike's basses work for me.
I've gone through a lot of basses and my PJ5 and V5 have hung around the longest. What does that tell you?
