The big questions are if you want a mid control, passive tone, or both via a mid switch.

Wouldn't really care if it had a passive/active switch, because I know I personally would never use it in passive. It would be cool to have a mid control, but I wouldn't mind too much if it didn't.

I was more referring to a switch on the control plate that can boost mids who's gain can be adjusted by a trim pot in the control cavity. It's handy to have if you want to have a 4 knob layout with volume, blend, passive tone control, stacked treble/bass, AND control over mids. The active/passive "modes" are usually on a push/pull volume.
Do you need all of that?... Probably not, but maybe.
