looks absolutely awesome, and great to see a new variation (of a classic design) that is nicely thought out and progressive
Yeah, I thought those prices were too good to be true. That's around $5600 Canadian for an M5V, which is more than twice what mine cost in 2012.
My new M5V. Arrived yesterday. I see what all the hype is about. Amazing neck!!! Seymore Duncans with a Bart pre. Anyone still handing out #'s?
Great looking bass. Just noticing that Lull has switched to quick access battery chambers. I actually prefer the old screw-on plates.
Is that a new bass or a "new to me" bass? It's only got the one string retainer on the headstock, mine have 2 and are >2013, and they both have the screw attached battery covers

Well a few post ago I showed my (new to me) MV5. I found this bass online at a Guitar Center in Maryland. Of course I'm about a thousand miles away. So after speaking to a wonderful sales "person", who was kind enough to send me additional pictures I pulled the trigger. The bass arrived in a Road Runner case that looked like it did 2 tours of duty in Iraq. But the sales person at GC warned me of that ahead of time so no surprise. The bass really was in great shape cosmetically but... We had a bow in the neck and the output from the instrument sounded like Roger Glover and Lemy had a baby.
So...
I sent it to Lull. I spoke to Spencer and told him all I knew and he encouraged me to ship it out to them. 2000 miles away.
Once it was in their hands they called me and told me what they found and what they would do. Which was a complete check over and new Plexing. Turns out they Plexed the neck twice to make it perfect. Electronics adjusted and a new nut.
And it only took a week. And the price was truly reasonable.
Any way. long story a little longer. Bass has been made new again. And is on the way home.
Now how am I gonna sleep for the rest of the week?

Yup - This one's a keeper. A mint 2012 PT4 that has now found its forever home.

My M5V came back from Lull yesterday.
Freshly plexed neck, setup and electronics adjusted.
Sadowsky got nothing on this.

Did you own this one before? Do you know if it's chambered or not?
I'm guessing at almost 9 lbs it's not.
I always avoided T-Birds because of the strap button placement - ie; Gibson, Guild, Hofner, etc.
But Mike's genius is on full display with his deconstructed T-Bird replica pickups in a P body.
This passive PT4 makes my passive jazz basses sound a bit anemic now - but I'm OK with that

I've owned Lull and Sadowsky basses. Both are absolute world-class and elite quality, and I don't see how anyone could say that one has nothing on the other. It's splitting hairs.
There are 3 retailers within reasonable driving distance of me the have Sadowsky Basses on the hanger. I only play 5'vers. Every 5 string Sadowsky I have tried (both Metro and NYC) had a neck I just did not care for. All have felt to wide. More like a six string. But the string spacing on my Fender Pro's was much better. The spacing on my M5V is perfect. Nice thin neck. Very fast and fluid. Now I'm sure Sadowsky lovers will flame me. But this Lull has beaten at least a dozen Sadowskys that I've tried. And I'm sure Sadowskys are awesome in the right players hands. But I'm a Lull guy. And I still love my Fenders.
