So far the pickups sound good, but I'm not quite finding my sound yet.
That's par for the course with new pickups and instruments as you've said before. I'm curious to hear how it unfolds. Cheers.
....and the NRT4 is in!! Thanks @Holdsg! He already took much better pictures of it than I have yet to, but I did at least get a shot with my other Lull - a perfect pair.
I've been a Spector guy for the last decade and still love my NS-5XL and Codas, but I have been really dying to get a Lull. I definitely want to explore passive tone more after 30+ years of active basses.
I wish I hadn't waited so long as I would have loved to have a build done by Mike himself, but from what I can see the basses they are building are upholding the quality I've seen mentioned so much about Lull's.
What I really want is a PJ5-24. I'm too used to 24 frets from Spector to give it up. Plus they're sharp looking basses. Unfortunately there don't seem to be a lot of PJ5-24's in the wild. I do wonder if they have same P vibe as the more traditional Mike Lull P5's. Any thoughts on this are appreciated!

I've owned several of Mike's PJs, including a PJ5-24.
Although don't own one right now, my current PJ5 is a Sad Sad kinda bass, if you know what I mean, and that one is 21 frets.
I remember the PJ5s being very good, P is what you expect, dial in the J for some bite. yeah. but as passive, for sure a departure from the Spector scene.
Too bad @bdgotoh doesn't play fives, because I'm sure he'd have one to sell you.

Does anyone know what the current street price of a new M5V is? The list price on the Lull site has them starting at $5700.
Use the calculation in the below thread against the price listed on Lull's site. That should get you pretty close.

I may be completely wrong about this, but I think the street price is about 25% less than the list price. They've definitely jumped in cost since I first ordered a brand new V4 back in 2011. The Lull street prices seem to be on par with Lakland's now.
Thanks for the responses guys. I bought my M5V in 2012 and know the prices have gone up since then. I've been flirting with the idea of getting a second one...

Moog used to be but they haven't carried basses or guitars for a little while now. They're still listed on the Lull site as being a dealer, but then again so is Bass San Diego (a shop which no longer exists).
