Got the new Lindy Fralin Jazz Splits installed. So easy when you don't have a preamp! Dead quiet and they sound great. If anyone is looking for a J set of Fralin jazz pickups, hit me up. Very happy. Now just hoping my crappy soldering skills don't come back to bite me.

I really love the two Lulls I have: a P4 and a V4. I'm thinking of maybe ordering a new bass direct from Spencer. I've thought about a pj bass, but I really like the warmer tones of the IMA4 especially with the pbass character in the neck pup. I don't really care for some of the other unique IMA4 features such as the reverse headstock, colors, relicking, etc, which is why I'm considering a custom build. I'd probably lean more towards a V4-style bass with the T-Bird pups in 60s position. At least, that's my thinking at the moment. Does anyone know what the body is on the IMA4? Is it the M4V, V4, or it's own body shape? I'm thinking more about tone than anything else, but I'm curious about the body, if anyone knows?

As was previously mentioned, the IMA4s have a normal full sized J body - the V4 body. The IMA4s have special pickup spacing that makes them sound great IMO.

NBD…just completed M5 build. Tried a new Porsche color: Cashmere Beige Metallic. One-piece (ultra-light) ash body, 34" scale, 1-3/4" nut, TF preamp, Lull JJ's, 7.9 lbs…

What's the deal with this one? Seems like a smoking deal. But it's been sitting for a while. I must admit even at a few k more the prospect of a new Mike Lull spec'd out how I'd want it seems a little more attractive.

There probably is some bang for the buck if you wanted to buy that and send it back to Lull to have it reverted back to its closer to new form, but it also would be quite a hassle.

Just want to say that I popped into the Lull shop in Bellevue today and spent about an hour and a half talking to Spencer (and Preston) about my bass (bought used), the industry, basses, the business and more. What a great human and operation they run there. I was so impressed. Now I just have to convince my wife that I need to buy a bass from them directly. What a treat! Can't wait to visit again when I have some spare change from the sofa to spend! Thank you Spencer for your commitment to the business, to building beautiful and functional instruments and to being an absolute swell guy to talk to.

I don't live there but I travel there on business pretty regularly. Thank goodness Spencer had nothing in the showroom to sell. It would have been a very close call indeed...

I'm not a colorful bass guy, but for some reason, trans orange gets me every time. I posted an NBD but figured I'd share photos here.

I'm sure many of you saw this on Lull's Instagram. It originally had a clear guard. I wanted a vintage pearl guard, but they were out of stock at Lull. So Spencer put the white on and the vintage is coming direct from Pickguard Planet. I thinkmitll

I've owned a few Lulls. I think this one may be the best sounding one I've ever owned.
