The Mike Lull Club Part 4

View attachment 392112

Finally got my 4 main giggers up on the wall. Along with my Lulls are an '05 American Fender Jazz which Mike PLEK'd when I was touring through Seattle and my beloved Skjold Slayer. I still can't believe the MTD lives in the closet, but that's the way it is.
Nice!

A wider angle of the studio with the Lulls in the middle. (The cello is my wife's... I'm glad she doesn't require more instruments :)

I acquired these very recently, used but very close to new. Apologies for crappy cell phone pics.

Both weigh just a bit over 7lbs, and sound just like a good p-bass should. I also seem to like the vintage-style neck radius more than I'd imagined initially. :bassist:

Thinking of putting a tort guard on the shell pink. Maybe pearloid guard on the burgundy mist.:D

The UP4s I have are supposed to be Alder body. I've read some where that the fb for the UP4s are Brazilian rosewood, but I have no way to prove it. Feels great on my fingers and sounds awesome so I could care less :)

The silver P/J 24 fret one looks like the bridge is fairly far from the end of the bass. Is that just an optical illusion?

This one arrived a few days ago:

Took it to my regular saturday afternoon jam today, and I am very happy with it so far. It is super comfortable to play, the neck feels great. Have been wanting a vintage vibe jazz bass for some time now to complement my Sadowsky and Roscoe basses and this one really delivers.

Here is a soundclip from this afternoon, both pu full, tone rolled back a little, through my Aguilar TH500 and Berg CN212

Excellent, I happen to love both the bass and the keys on that one.
