^^ Ever since I got the '75 Fender Ash/Maple P from you, I've been thinking I'd like an Alder/RW Lull P4 companion for it.
You have infected me badly, Scott!! I hadn't bought a bass in 3-4 years, and I've added 2 (and now probably 3) to my stable in the past 1-2 months. Time to stop acquiring and start playing. I gotta pay for these somehow!! LOL

Welcome to the club..... :0) I haven't purchased a NEW bass in so long I do not remember and I have gotten three from you in the past two months... but I have enjoyed it.... I am not even going to say that that I am looking at videos of M5V's :0)

Do you still wish you would have a 34" Scale Lull MV5 instead of the 35"? I noticed that I solo more fluidly on my 34" scale bass opposed to my 34.5" scale bass. Other than solo's, the 34.5" Scale doesn't bother me.
And then ...I found a Lull MV5 with 35" Scale that is truly an exceptional sounding bass! So I am wondering ....does 35" bother any other players and if so, how and where do you notice the added scale difference?
I think it will be great. I can get along on a 35" scale, but feel more comfortable on a 34" (when I am not playing fanned frets
Forgot about this; the "thinner sounding G string" on a 35" Scale bass. I've noticed that too. Hmmm
I've played 34 and 35 inch five strings from a number of manufacturers. I don't find the difference in scale anything to write home about, specially when compared to my 42 inch scale upright. Having said that, I have a 34inch M5V inbound as we speak that I am very stoked about. Pics for sure when it arrives.
I guess it's all personal preference. There is a bit of compromise whichever scale length you choose.
Took a break from the double bass over the weekend and attended an electric jam with some old friends. I took my PJ5 and V5 (with Audere preamp), but used the V5 the entire day. I also took my amp (Thunderfunk TFB-750A and two Bergantino AE112 cabs) for giggles. Let me say that I really like the Audere on the V5 since I had a good range of tonal options. And to think I sold that V5 once and only by luck repurchased it when I was perusing the TB classifieds one night. I'll never make that mistake again.

I think my NRT 4 is at close to actually being built. Got a call today to confirm the finish on the neck. It is getting hard to wait.

A trans blue burst with a white pickguard. I might try and change it to a black pickguard. I can always do that later or course. I have also considered doing without a pickguard. The hardware is chrome.

What are the options they gave you for the finish on the neck? I'm also waiting for my build, and it's also gonna be some kind of blue bora burst with a clear pickguard
